Topics, people, and connections form on their own.

You never name a note, choose a folder, or add a tag. Smara reads what you kept and builds the links.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What is Smara?

Smara is an iPhone app that saves whatever is on your screen with one gesture, keeps the original intact, and lets you ask questions about what you kept.

How do you save something?

Tap the back of your iPhone twice while the thing you want is on screen. Smara saves the screen and its source context without asking you to open a separate notes app.

Which apps does Smara work with?

Smara works across iPhone apps, including Safari, Instagram, Messages, Reddit, Substack, YouTube, Notes, and Slack. It saves the screen you are already looking at.

Can I delete my captures?

Yes. Captures can be deleted from the app, and you can contact us to request deletion of waitlist data or other stored data associated with your account.

What does Smara cost?

Smara is free during the early access waitlist. We will share pricing before any paid plan begins.

Is Smara coming to Android?

Smara is being built for iPhone first. We do not have an Android release date to share yet.

How is Smara different from a notes app?

A notes app asks you to stop, write, name, and organize. Smara starts with the screen in front of you, preserves it, and builds searchable connections from what you keep.
